Queensland Olympian Lisa Curry-Kenny is recovering in hospital after complications from an operation she had in April.
The 45-year-old former competitive swimmer, who lives on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, was admitted to a Brisbane hospital on Sunday suffering a serious infection from an operation to implant a defibrillator earlier this year.
A family spokesman says Ms Curry-Kenny is on a drip and should know by the end of the week when she will be released from hospital.
The spokesman says it is simply a precautionary measure.
