BB housemate 'terrorised bar staff'

By ninemsn staff
A pub worker said she thought she was going to die when a former Big Brother housemate allegedly went wild with a metal pole outside a Victorian pub.
Heath Tournier, 26, is facing charges of affray, recklessly causing injury, unlawful assault, assault by kicking and riotous behaviour stemming from a violent incident at the Torquay Hotel, near Geelong, in March last year.
Michelle Clifford, who was working at the hotel's door, said she feared for her life at the height of the brawl.
"I was s*** scared," Ms Clifford told the Geelong Magistrates Court yesterday, the Geelong Advertiser reports.
"I had myself in the foetal position in the corner."
Tournier punched and kneed a security guard in a wild brawl outside the hotel after being forcibly removed from the pub, it is alleged.
Ms Clifford alleges that when crowd controllers returned inside and locked the doors, Tournier returned with a weapon to terrorise the hotel staff.
"Then I saw Heath at the side window,'' she said.
"He had this massive big metal pole above his head swinging it towards the glass.
"I yelled to everyone to watch out and put my hands over my head … I thought I was gone.''
Tournier challenged the accuracy CCTV footage allegedly showing him in the brawl in a taped police interview played in court.
"All of this didn't happen, mate," Tournier said.
"So the video surveillance is telling lies?" an officer asked the 2005 Big Brother intruder.
"Yeah," Tournier replied.
He has also denied allegations he later phoned Ms Clifford posing as a member of the Rebels bikie gang, claiming he "did all [Tony] Mokbel's security".
She said she was afraid to be alone after the threatening call.
The Torquay tradesman told court he had a few drinks with his girlfriend and left around midnight.
He says he then fell to the ground and was struck by a bouncer after being pushed from the venue.
Tournier denies allegations he punched and kneed a crowd controller or dragged another security guard into the street with another male.
He also denied returning to the venue after the clash — despite video footage appearing to show him return several times.
Tournier's girlfriend Amy Brightman told court she witnessed him being punched to the ground by an unidentified male who then left the hotel.
Despite being the alleged victim, Ms Brightman said she then saw Tournier being escorted from the hotel and fall over before bouncers became aggressive towards him.
"I was shocked because Heath was knocked down and the other guy walked away," she said.
Tournier has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
