Ricki-Lee Coulter caught up in porn scandal

ninemsn

Ricki-Lee and family friend Aaron Crawford, who posed for a nude website.
Australian Idol star Ricki-Lee Coulter has unwittingly been caught up in a porn scandal after lewd photos of a man incorrectly identified as her husband were forwarded to a newspaper.
The Daily Telegraph newspaper was e-mailed the raunchy shots of Coulter's family friend, Aaron Crawford, which were taken from a porn website.
Coulter took Crawford as a partner to the Urban Music Awards in 2006 — but photos taken at the event incorrectly identified him as Coulter's husband, Jamie Babbington.
The mistake was published in several magazines, leading to the mistaken belief that it was Babbington posing for the nude website.
"This is a very serious case of mistaken identity, and one which has devastated Ricki-Lee and Jamie," Coulter's representative Lauren Brown told the Telegraph.
"They have spoken to Aaron about it and he has apologised profusely for his regrettable actions, but mostly, they want to make it known that Jamie has never been involved in any type of porn shoot."
Coulter shot to fame in 2004 when she was bundled out of the second season of Idol despite being a crowd favourite.
The singer, who married Babbington last year, is said to have known Crawford for many years.
The Telegraph reported the 21-year-old Crawford agreed to do the porn shoot for the website three years ago.

Jennifer Aniston says 'no' to surgery

New Idea
Jennifer Aniston has ruled out having plastic surgery.

The former 'Friends' actress - who turns 40 next year - insists the only reason she would ever consider going under the surgeon's knife would be for medical purposes.

She said: "I once had the degree of my deviated septum operated on. Since then, I can breathe much better and sleep nights like a baby. The rest of my body is all mine. And absolutely natural. And it's going to stay that way. I am very satisfied with what God gave me."

Jennifer also revealed she maintains her svelte figure with regular yoga sessions. She added: "I do the best I can to keep myself fit, both in body and mind. I also draw a lot of strength and energy from yoga, new age and cosmic energies. I very much believe in karma - the way you treat your fellow man is how you will ultimately be treated yourself."

Rove and Tasma's paradise plans

New Idea

Rove McManus strolled hand in hand on the golden sands with his beloved Tasma Walton, in the ideal setting for a proposal. On the palm-lined beaches of idyllic Port Douglas, Rove and Tasma, the woman who mended his broken heart and let him love again, cuddled without a care.

And their week-long romantic stay in a secluded waterfront villa on Oak Beach in far north Queensland was poignant. They celebrated their first anniversary in the same private holiday resort where, last year, heartbroken Rove sought solace after his wife Belinda Emmett died of breast cancer in November 2006.

On the same stretch of sand where he cut a forlorn figure, listening to Belinda's music on an iPod, wondering how he could ever overcome his grief, he was now sharing a tropical paradise with his new love.

Rove, cutting a trim figure in bright board shorts, and Tasma, who showed off her stunning svelte shape in a black bikini, left onlookers in no doubt as to why they're such a sought-after couple.

'They look like a perfect match,' said one beachgoer, who watched the popular couple brave the cold for a late afternoon dip. 'Rove was a real gentleman. He tested the water first, then led Tasma into the sea, holding her hand.

'He's been through such a lot, he deserves every bit of happiness. I reckon good luck to them both.'

Taking the next step

Friends of Rove told New Idea of Rove's desire to marry again - and all the signs were there, with his choice of holiday location signifying it was time to confront the past and plan for the long-term future.

'He's unashamedly besotted by Tasma,' one friend says. 'They're inseparable, and so in love that marriage is the obvious next step. Rove's a down-to-earth, regular everyday guy who truly believes Belinda would want him to move on and be happy.'

In January of last year, the talk-show host made the heart-breaking journey alone to Port Douglas on his second wedding anniversary.

Rove recalls: 'It was hard, but I got up in the morning and watched the sun come up while walking on the beach with a cap, sunglasses and an iPod. I was listening to Belinda's new music and just reflected on everything.'

It was at this time that he bravely removed his wedding band.

'I had a chat to Mum about it and I said I don't know what to do. It seems like a dumb thing, but it's not - it's an important thing,' he said.

'You don't want to seem like you've forgotten the past or anything, but at the same time you have to move on. So I thought maybe it was a significant day to do it and that's what I did. I've kept both of them and made them into a band.

'I'm sure Belinda wouldn't want me sitting in the house doing nothing with myself but wallow in my own self pity.'

Heating up in the tropics

How things change - Rove would never have guessed that only 20 months later he'd be back in Port Douglas and in love with a girl he's known for more than a decade. Rove and former Blue Heelers star Tasma, both 34, hail from Western Australia, and though their paths crossed many times, it wasn't until nine months after Belinda's death that they began dating. Not long after, she moved into his house in Melbourne and their love's gone from strength to strength.

In Queensland, Rove and Tasma played tourist, enjoying long walks along the beach and all-day hikes in the tropical rainforests of Cape Tribulation. Although they chose to stay in a private holiday house, Rove and Tasma mingled with the locals, having breakfast with the birds at Habitat restaurant in Port Douglas, and feasting on fish and chips.

Resident Peter Blake said: 'We're over being star-struck - we don't invade anyone's space. We've seen the likes of Kate Hudson, Val Kilmer, Marlon Brando and Tom Hanks up here enjoying the tropics, so Rove will always know that if he wants peace and serenity there's no better place to be. It's paradise.'

Kate Hudson's hair care scare

CelebrityFIX
Kate Hudson's hair could land her in all sorts of trouble... but not for the reasons you might think.

The Daily Mail reports that the rom-com star is being sued for allegedly stealing a secret shampoo ingredient.

220 Laboratories say that Kate verbally agreed to promote their hair products and its special secret ingredient, but then blabbed about the ingredient to competitor - who used it to make a new shampoo line, David Babaii for Wildaid.

The company's now suing Kate for a lengthy list of alleged offences: fraud, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, and other complaints.

Kate's publicist swiftly released a statement saying that the 29-year-old actress has "never met or spoken with" 220 Laboratories, and that she's working with her attorneys to defend herself.

So what's the super-secret ingredient that's got everyone in a twist? Volcano ash. Sounds like a load of hot air to us...

Australian Idol is back... but can you feel it?

The Australian Idol drinking game
While watching Australian Idol auditions, take a drink whenever one of the following things happens:

We're told Idol is "more than a music competition/reality TV show"
A judge makes out like Idol is a legitimate platform to get ahead in the music business, without a trace of irony
Ricky-Lee says this exact phrase: "a shoulder to cry on"
Two or more friends audition together in stupid costumes
Inappropriate power notes - the longer and more ridiculous the power note, the bigger the drink
Inappropriate gay jokes
Inappropriate tears
A crappy, overly ambitious singer is insulted by the judges
The judges team up to mock a crappy singer
A crappy singer begs to be let through to the top 100
A crappy singer continues singing after they're turned down, as if the judges will miraculously change their minds upon hearing their nasal trilling a second time
A crappy singer goes on a defensive, attitude-heavy rampage after being rejected
The judges accept someone who is obviously crap
A girl with dyed hair, too much make-up and a husky voice describes herself as a "rock chick"

After playing this game you will either a) be incredibly drunk, or b) have come to the horrifying realisation that the crazy loser bogans who audition for Australian Idol actually exist, which will require you to become incredibly drunk in order to cope.

Idol has opened with the promise of "groundbreaking changes". Based on the first round of auditions the show is the same as it's ever been - with the exception of new and improved opening credits - but admittedly it's only early days. There are, however, some small but important differences:

The judging panel
I don't miss Mark Holden one little bit - in fact I barely noticed he wasn't there. After featuring a bloated four judges in 2007, the panel is back to a slim and trim three: Kyle Sandilands and Ian "Dicko" Dickson offer more than enough off-the-cuff quips and macho posturing, while Marcia Hines is her usual boring maternal self...

... except for the part where she's exactly the opposite of that. Did she get a personality implant since last year? She completely PWN3D some of the kids who auditioned, laying an especially deserving smackdown on an attitude-heavy 16-year-old brat. If Marcia continues to bring the snark, she's in real danger of becoming my favourite judge. And that's something I never expected to say.

The hosts
James Mathison and Andrew G are always so energetic at the beginning of the season - let's see how many weeks it takes before they start looking like bored sleepwalkers! Of course the big addition is former Idol Ricky-Lee Coulter, who's signed on as a "mentor" to the wannabes. I like Ricky and all, but... let's be honest here. Her "advice" is the sort of generic fluff that I could offer merely as someone who has watched the show for five seasons. "Know the lyrics! Choose an appropriate song!" Thanks for those gems, Ricky. How do you think she measured up?

Australian Idol has a long way to go if it wants to live up to the claim that 2008 is the most talented year ever, but the season is off to a good start: there's a pleasing mix of talented singers, not-so-talented singers who the judges put through anyway, and truly hopeless losers. (Highlights: the orange-skinned bodybuilder who literally wept; and the TV return of 2005 Big Brother contestant Vesna, who accompanied her rocker boyfriend to the auditions.)

However, as shamefully pleasurable as Idol is, there is no way that I am equipped with the endurance to watch six nights of auditions in a row.

Queensland Olympian Lisa Curry-Kenny is recovering in hospital after complications from an operation she had in April.

The 45-year-old former competitive swimmer, who lives on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, was admitted to a Brisbane hospital on Sunday suffering a serious infection from an operation to implant a defibrillator earlier this year.

The spokesman says it is simply a precautionary measure.

Princess Mary comes home to save our children

Woman's Day

By Megan Norris

Australia's favourite princess interrupts a precious family holiday in her native Tasmania to champion a home-grown charity that holds a very special place in her heart.

While Princess Mary's trip back to Australia is partly a joyous occasion to introduce her 15-month-old daughter Isabella to her Australian relatives, another cause close to Mary's heart will be top of her agenda during her time in Tasmania this week.

The princess's unstinting commitment to the Alannah and Madeline Foundation will see her taking time out to step up her crusade to improve the lives of children everywhere and stamp out bullying. The Foundation was established 12 years ago by Australian father Walter Mikac to honour his little girls who died in the nation's biggest mass murder.

After catching up with family, the princess will attend the only official engagement in her diary — the Alannah and Madeline Foundation's dinner. As its Royal International Patron, Mary, along with her husband Crown Prince Frederik, will join influential Australians including the charity's National Patron, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, Victorian Patron Premier John Brumby and Founding Patron Walter Mikac.

Red carpet collision for Brad and Jen

Yahoo!7

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston could be reunited at this year's Toronto International Film Festival.

The couple - whose divorce was finalised in October 2005 - may meet on the red carpet at the prestigious annual event as Brad's new movie 'Burn After Reading' opens on September 5 while Jennifer's film 'Management' premieres on September 7.

A source said: "It could be awkward for them both but I am sure their professionalism will ensure there are no public fireworks."

Although Brad and Jennifer have not been seen in public together since 2005, Jennifer frequently meets up with Brad's mother Jane - a relationship which is said to anger Brad's current partner Angelina Jolie.

Brad and Jennifer tied the knot in Malibu in July 2000.

Rumours of marital problems surfaced in 2004 as Brad filmed 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' alongside Angelina.

Jennifer, 39, filed for divorce in March 2005. A month later, Brad, 44, was seen with Angelina on a beach in Kenya.

Both Brad and Angelina, 32, have denied they were romantically involved before he split from the 'Friends' actress.

It was recently reported Brad "despised" Jennifer Aniston after just six weeks of marriage, according to his 'Spy Game' co-star Omid Djalili.

Omid revealed: "I did a scene with Brad in the back of a taxi and it was only a few days after he had married Jennifer. I chatted to him for hours giving him advice about the three stages of marriage.

"Stage one is perfection - blind love. Stage two is the difficult stage because you start to despise everything about her. If you can deal with the baggage you can possibly get to stage three - a harmonious marriage.

"After six weeks Brad came up to me and said, 'I'm definitely in stage two Omid!' "

Madonna shows how to be sexy at 50

Sure, Madonna may have scandalised the Vatican and shocked nearly every parent in America at some point during her long and provocative career full of shrewd image transformations.
But as the Material Girl hits the half-century mark this weekend, she may be stepping into a role that even she, with all her marketing savvy, might not have dreamed up: poster child for the 50-and-fabulous set.
Who cares about those recent tabloid headlines linking her to the Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriguez, or that tell-all book by her brother?
Many women of a certain age look at Madonna and see a wonderfully fit, stylish, vigorous woman who's made a fortune based on smarts, talent and ambition and just keeps on going. Her latest world tour, Sticky & Sweet, kicks off in Wales a week after her August 16 birthday.
Talk about your New 50.
"I just think she's awesome," says Dale Lieberman, a 55-year-old mother of two grown daughters who works at a Marleton, New Jersey, dress shop and seemingly shares little with Madonna, save their age demographic. Yet Lieberman thinks Madonna is a great example of what 50 can be like these days.
"Here's a woman that's successful, takes care of herself, looks amazing - and she took the steps to get there. It doesn't happen unless you take charge. She's a great role model for many, many women."
And if Madonna has any qualms about reaching this milestone - she isn't speaking publicly about it - Lieberman wants to reassure her: It'll be just fine. In fact, better than fine.
"When I was in my 30s, 50 just seemed so ancient to me," says Lieberman.
Now, she says, her kids are both out in the world. She exercises regularly for the first time in her life. She's weeded out the unsatisfying relationships in favour of the truly genuine ones, enjoys nature, and loves to travel with her husband (they're planning a trip to the Amazon next.) "Sometimes it's scary how happy and fulfilled I feel," says Lieberman.
That's good news not just for Madonna, but for all the others reaching 50 in 2008 - and some famous names pop up.
Michael Jackson and Prince are two of the most discussed. But there's also Ellen DeGeneres, Sharon Stone, Christiane Amanpour. Alec Baldwin, Viggo Mortensen. Andie MacDowell, Jamie Lee Curtis, original Sex and the City columnist Candace Bushnell. Michelle Pfeiffer, Annette Bening, Prince Albert of Monaco. And, linking them together as in one of those Six-Degrees-of-Kevin-Bacon trivia games: Kevin Bacon.
Madonna's milestone should inspire men as well as women, says David Zinczenko, editor in chief of Men's Health magazine.
"I was in high school when she hit it big," says Zinczenko, who's in his late 30s. "Now that her first young fans are in their 30s, we look at Madonna as sort of a harbinger of the future for us. And the future looks pretty good."
What it tells us, Zinczenko adds, "is that aging is not the inevitability that we might have assumed by watching our fathers, now in their 50s and 60s. Madonna is proof that exercising and eating right at an early age pays off."
Of course, some could rightly point out that it's easier to stay fit when you can afford private trainers and servants. Or possibly a little nip and tuck? Madonna's face appears on the current cover of New York magazine as an example of the latest hot looks in plastic surgery, though she hasn't said whether she's gone under the knife or needle.
More power to her, says Lesley Jane Seymour, editor of More, a magazine for women over 40.
"So she's had some work - I'll take it," says Seymour. "I want to know who her doctor is! It's really hard to believe she's 50. She looks 40. And she just keeps going at it, living life and loving life."
To Seymour, Madonna's not only an example to women on how to grow older - she's a reflection of how, as a society, our perceptions of age have changed. Especially 50, which used to be seen as the beginning of a depressing decline, not a new chapter.
It starts with looking different. "Put a picture of a 50-year-old woman today next to one from my mother's generation," says Seymour, who recently passed the mark herself. "We look at least 10 to 15 years younger than they did." She attributes it to exercise, better skin care, sun protection, less smoking, and generally a different standard of health and wellbeing.
"Also, 50 really is a new beginning for so many women," says Seymour, who notes that life expectancy rates show the average US woman has another 30 years to live past the half-century mark.
"Many have accomplished a number of their goals already. Their children are getting older. For the first time they can really think about themselves, and ask: What do I want from life?"
So how does Madonna feel about the impending birthday? The pop star is not speaking publicly about it, says her longtime publicist, Liz Rosenberg. "I'm sure she's happy to be an inspiration to women and men of any age," Rosenberg wrote in an e-mail. But the birthday, she noted wryly, "is not quite the benchmark for her as it seems to be in the media, who have been talking about her 50th since she turned 40!"

Lisa Marie's boy and girl

is having a twin son and daughter, it has been claimed.
The singer - who revealed earlier this month she is expecting twins with musician husband Michael Lockwood - will reportedly welcome a boy and girl into the world later this year, according to an American newspaper.
Lisa Marie, the daughter of world famous singer Elvis Presley, is intending to pay tribute to her late father by naming her new son Jesse - after Elvis' identical twin who was stillborn.
A source close to the star also revealed she will name her daughter Gladys Love after Elvis' mother. Lisa Marie already has two children - daughter Riley, 19, and son Benjamin, 15 - from her previous marriage to musician Danny Keough.
The 40-year-old singer was previously married to singer Michael Jackson and actor Nicholas Cage.

Jen and John - It's over!

Musician John Mayer is rumoured to have ended his three-month relationship with the former 'Friends' actress because of long-term commitment issues.

Friends say tension between the couple lead to a trial separation, but other sources suggest Jennifer, 39, has already moved on and is dating male model Matt Felker - who starred in the video for Britney Spears' song 'Toxic'.

A source close to John, 30, told a British newspaper: "John is still mulling over their relationship. He likes to have some space before deciding it is definitely over. But he may be too late. If these rumours that she is dating a model are true, he will be really upset."

John and Jennifer were reportedly planning to move in together after his present tour ends in September and marriage was even rumoured.

However, despite reports the pair were ready to settle down, the relationship apparently broke down because John felt he couldn't commit to Jennifer's plans. A source said: "John took the decision to end things as he felt he just wasn't ready for the level of commitment that Jennifer deserved.

"Contrary to reports, Jennifer didn't want to have kids or marry this year, but she did want to set a timetable for their future together. She also wanted him to assure her he would cut down his tours in the future when they did eventually have children."
Jennifer has had a rocky love life.

Former husband Brad Pitt left her three years ago for his 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' co-star Angelina Jolie. Since her divorce, she has dated Vince Vaughn and male model Paul Sculfor.

Rachel Hunter: 'I want to be a mum again'

New Idea

Blonde beauty Rachel Hunter's biological clock is a ticking timebomb with a two-year fuse and the pitter-patter of tiny feet must come sooner, not later.
At 38, Rachel already has two kids with her former husband, rocker Rod Stewart - Renee, 16, and Liam, 13. And the model and actress - whose boyfriend is 13 years her junior - has already ruled out adoption.
'I think I'd like more children. I wouldn't want to adopt, though. That's not for me,' the Kiwi says. 'I think I have two years left to have a child naturally if I want to.'
While Rachel hasn't talked publicly about whether she wants to have a baby with her boyfriend, 26-year-old Canadian ice hockey hunk Jarret Stoll, she's never been afraid of revealing her desire to search for the man of her dreams and the belief that he's out there.
In 2006 she revealed she'd made 40 her 'cut-off point' for having more kids and has stuck to it, but she's conceded modern motherhood's a whole new ball game.
'It's been a long time since I was pregnant the first time around, so I'd really have to learn from scratch,' the Celebrity Circus star tells New Idea.
And after her public split from Rod in 1999 after eight years' marriage, she's in no hurry to walk down the aisle again.
'It's something I guess I'm open to, but not something I need in my life. If I had another child with somebody I wouldn't need marriage to let it happen.'

The rumors are true: socialite, model, and reality star Peaches Geldof, 19, tied the knot with her rocker boyfriend Max Drummey last week in Las Vegas. The wedding was a "quiet, low-key ceremony," according to a statement released by Geldof's publicist.

"Their marriage has the full support of their family and friends ... Peaches and Max did not want unnecessary publicity, but following growing media speculation, have decided to set out the facts."

A rep for Drummey, 23, also released a statement Tuesday saying, "Peaches and Max Drummey are delighted to announce their very happy marriage." The couple met two years ago at the I-TV iTunes show, where his band Chester French was performing.

Peaches was a presenter at the concert. Peaches, the daughter of rocker and Live Aid organizer Bob Geldof, first rose to prominence as a reality star in the U.K. and has since worked as a fashion model, British television reporter, and a deejay.

Isla's new baby dream

New Idea

Isla Fisher and fiance Sacha Baron Cohen would rather dirty nappies than wedding bells – so they’ve put their nuptials on hold in order to concentrate on extending their family.
Less than a year after welcoming their first child, daughter Olive, a close friend of Isla’s tells New Idea that the news was a surprise but it made perfect sense for the famous couple.
'Both she and Sacha are from big families – she’s one of five kids and he's one of three – and they’re both very open about wanting a house full of kids,’ the friend says.
'They want the children close in age so they can play together, and Isla doesn’t want her career to keep stopping and starting, so having them close together makes sense for them.'
And with Sacha’s latest movie deal for his character Bruno nearing $43 million, all Isla, 32, really has to worry about is getting pregnant, which they’re more than happy to work on.
'Isla can afford to have maids and cooks and cleaners do all the heavy lifting, which means she’ll probably have more time with her kids than most mums,’ the friend says.
The Australian actress describes being pregnant as 'the best thing in the world', and says that while some actresses might be frightened to sacrifice their career for family life, becoming a mother had changed her priorities forever.

Rachel Hunter is engaged

38-year-old model Rachel Hunter - the ex-wife of rocker Rod Stewart - is set to wed Canadian ice hockey player Jarret Stoll, 26.

The couple - who have been together for two years - are due to tie the knot next year.

Rachel is said to have told friends: "He's my first true love since Rod and the age difference isn't an issue."

The New Zealand beauty's manager Andy Haden offered his blessing for the union. He said: "We are all delighted for her."

Jarret - who plays for the Los Angeles Kings and met his new fiancee at an ice hockey game - told a New Zealand radio station the proposal was "romantic".

The athlete's mother has also given her blessing to the forthcoming nuptials, telling Hello! magazine: "We like Rachel very much. She fits into the family very nicely."

Rachel sparked marriage rumours last weekend when she was seen sporting a diamond ring on her engagement finger as she walked around her hometown of Auckland.

The pair live together in Los Angeles with Rachel's children from her marriage to Rod, Renee, 16, and Liam, 14.

When the pair first started dating, Rachel said: "The kids have no troubles with Jarret - Liam now has a first-class ice hockey coach, so he's happy.

"Obviously as a single mother you have to treat new relationships very delicately."

Rod - who was divorced from Rachel in 2006 - married 37-year-old lingerie model Penny Lancaster last year.

Desperate Eva wants a baby

Eva Longoria is "desperately trying to get pregnant", says 'Desperate Housewives' creator Marc Cherry.

The actress - who plays Gabrielle Solis in the hit US TV show - is said to be determined to start a family with her basketball player husband Tony Parker.

Marc told a US magazine: "Eva is desperately trying to get pregnant with Tony. After they phone their doctor, she promised me I will be the next call!"

The new 'Desperate Housewives' series is giving Eva the opportunity to practice her mothering skills. Set five years in the future, Eva's character is now a mother of two.

Marc added: "Gaby is having a very tough time being the mother of two overweight, hyperactive children. But Eva is having a marvellous time playing her!"

Eva previously revealed Marc had banned all pregnancies on the set after her co-star Marcia Cross conceived twins and the pregnancy had to be written in the script. She said: "You know when Marcia Cross was pregnant? Marc Cherry came on the set and he was like, 'No more pregnancies this year! They're really hard to write in!' "

Jennifer Hawkins wows in lingerie parade

Former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins has wowed crowds in a light and fun lingerie parade in Sydney.

Hundreds of people packed into a marquee in Martin Place to watch Hawkins steal the Sydney Fashion Festival parade in a black lacy bra and light, flowing dress of pink chiffon.

Former Bonds ambassador Sarah Murdoch, Australia's Next Top Model winner Demelza Reveley and stylist Jonathan Pease watched the Hot In The City show from the front row.

Models dressed as cheerleaders with pom poms, bright coloured bras and briefs from Holeproof were met with cheers from the crowd.

Dancing Bonds girls wearing black and white sets also impressed.

Men in tight white briefs showed off Holeproof's Underdaks range.

Berlei opened the parade with a London theme, sexy lacy designs dominated Crystelle, and Esprit and Mossimo added colour.

Tall hats and handbags finished off looks.

Davenport featured sporty looks with stripy briefs teamed with white hoodies.

Voodoo models wore patterned tights with micro mini black plastic dresses accompanied by black fascinators.

In Hawkins' Lovable parade, smiling girls wore lots of lace and bows and long chiffon headdresses.

Hawkins said she had a ball.

"It was so much fun, because the public were here you could feel the energy," she said after the show.

"I loved it."

Murdoch, who took time to pose with Bonds models after the show, said she loved that parade.

When asked if she'd like to return to the catwalk, she said: "Not in my undies, two kids later.

"I suppose I would do it if it was for charity or something like that but I haven't done it for so long.

"It's nice to sit in the front row and watch."

Has Australian Idol lined up a bootylicious guest star?

ninemsn
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, music sensation Beyonce Knowles has been approached to appear in the Australian Idol finale, slated for November 23.

A source told the Herald that Beyonce's people are not overly enthused about her making a cameo on the reality series. "It's not looking promising with Beyonce but we may end up with someone like [fellow Destiny's Child singer] Kelly Rowland appearing at the Opera House," said the source.

Australian Idol is preparing to roll out its sixth season, and producers are reportedly attempting to revamp the ageing show after a less-than-spectacular fifth season (its winner Natalie Gauci was the first Idol whose debut single did not top the ARIA chart).

Big-name guests have been planned to boost interest. In the US Idol contestants are often mentored by musical greats; Stevie Wonder will reportedly appear on Australian Idol in October.

Viewers should also expect several other changes to the show this year: judge Mark Holden has departed, former contestant Ricki-Lee will co-host, and auditions will take place in London.

Australian Idol returns to Network Ten on Sunday, August 24.

Adrian saw her with Shia and that was kind of it - the crash, their hanging out. He obviously didn't appreciate it." Lucas, 22, was the passenger in LaBeouf's car. She was treated for minor bumps and bruises at the hospital and released.

Lucas's rep confirmed to PEOPLE that the actress "is single." According to reports, Lucas had been dating Entourage star Grenier, 32, for several months. A rep for Grenier wasn't immediately available for comment.

Australia's Rice wins gold in medley

AAP
Stephanie Rice has become the first Australian to win swimming's 200m-400m medley double at the Olympics with another world record performance in Beijing.
The Queenslander won the 200IM to collect the nation's fourth gold medal at the pool and lowered her own world mark by almost half a second in the process with a time of 2 minutes 8.45 seconds.
Zimbabwe's Kirsty Coventry (2:08.59) and American Natalie Coughlin (2:10.34) collected silver and bronze respectively.
Rice had another stroke for stroke battle with Coventry before just overtaking and touching her out at the death.
Rice raised her arm in triumph after the race and celebrated in the pool by yelling out: "Yes!".
The result continued her stunning rise to the top of world swimming this year and showed her knack for lifting for the big occasion.
The Olympic debutant picked up Australia's first gold medal of the Games by winning the 400m medley in world record time on Sunday.
She completes her program with the women's 4x200m relay on Thursday morning.
Coughlin said the early pace in the race before Coventry took over in the second half and Rice came storming home at the end.
Making her swim all the more remarkable, Rice said she was still battling a sore throat.
"That was such a tough race and I really struggled getting into that race," she said.
"As I said yesterday, I wasn't feeling so great and I didn't really pull up any better this morning, which I was really disappointed with, but I'm so glad I could pull it out here this morning."
Rice said she ignored any thoughts of pressure from the high expectations of her.
"I think you only put the pressure on yourself and I was really just wanting to get the best out of myself," she said.
"I've trained so hard and I've done everything I can so I'm just happy to see the result in the end.
"I think when I qualified myself in that lane last night it was probably really good for me being next to Natalie Coughlin cause she takes it out so hard, she really pushed me though that first 100 metres."
Rice said she was overwhelmed by her gold medal double.
"It really hasn't sunk in but I know thinking about it later on - I'm just so happy to be here.
"I'm so happy."

90210 comes to Ten early

Australians won't have to wait long to see the revamped spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210: the sexy new series debuts on local screens Monday, September 8, just six days after its world premiere.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Network Ten will screen the two-hour pilot episode of 90210 from 8.30pm. The original series also aired in Ten in the '90s.

"The show is already creating buzz in Generation Y," said Ten's chief programming officer David Mott. "I think [airing 90210 is] a no brainer... it all speaks to the Ten brand perfectly."
Mott revealed that the new 90210 will include all the romantic soapiness that fans of the original series have come to expect, while also dealing with topical issues such as drugs, sex and peer pressure.

"[90210 is] going to be a reflection of all the best elements from the initial series, but quite clearly it will have grown with the times also because television is a lot smarter now than it was in the early 1990s," he said. "It will be bolder than what it was."

90210 premieres on Network Ten on Monday, September 8, at 8.30pm.

Olympic child singing star 'fake'

Yang Peiyi was not considered pretty enough for the opening ceremony.
The little girl who starred at the Olympic opening ceremony was miming and only put on stage because the real singer was not considered attractive enough, the show's musical director has revealed.
Pigtailed Lin Miaoke was selected to appear because of her cute appearance and did not sing a note, Chen Qigang, the general music designer of the ceremony, said in an interview with a state broadcaster yesterday.
Photographs of Lin in a bright red party dress were published in newspapers and websites all over the world and the official China Daily hailed her as a rising star yesterday.
But Chen said the girl whose voice was actually heard by the 91,000 capacity crowd at the Olympic stadium during the spectacular ceremony was in fact seven-year-old Yang Peiyi, who has a chubby face and uneven teeth.
"The reason why little Yang was not chosen to appear was because we wanted to project the right image, we were thinking about what was best for the nation," Chen said in an interview that appeared briefly on the news website Sina.com before it was apparently wiped from the internet in China.
Lin was seen to perform the patriotic song "Ode to the Motherland" as China's national flag was carried into the stadium, a key moment in the three hour ceremony.
"The reason was for the national interest. The child on camera should be flawless in image, internal feelings, and expression," said Chen, a renowned contemporary composer and French citizen.
"Lin Miaoke is excellent in those aspects. But in terms of voice, Yang Peiyi is perfect, each member of our team agreed," he said.
He said the final decision to stage the event with Lin lip-synching to another girl's voice was taken after a senior member of China's ruling Communist Party politburo attended a rehearsal.
"He told us there was a problem that we needed to fix it, so we did," he said, without disclosing further details of the order.
The Beijing Olympic organising committee confirmed the episode with spokesman Sun Weide saying the decision was taken in the interests of providing the best possible show.
"A number of girls were on the short list for the show and Lin was the best actress while Yang had the best voice," he said. "So at the end of the day they decided to have both."
The ceremony directed by China's Oscar-nominated filmmaker Zhang Yimou and featuring more than 15,000 performers won high praise in China and overseas for its breadth, scope and flawless execution.
However criticism began to build after it emerged that another part of the opening ceremony had been faked.
Supposedly live pictures of fireworks depicting footprints moving from central Beijing's Tiananmen Square to the Olympic stadium in the north of the capital were actually partly computer-generated or pre-recorded for TV, organisers have admitted.
Wang Wei, vice president of the organising committee, Tuesday insisted the fireworks had actually exploded on the night and that most of the television images used were genuine.
"However, because of the poor visibility of the night some previously recorded foots may have been used," he said.
Xiao Qiang, the director of the China internet project at the University of California at Berkeley and former dissident, said the two incidents illustrated the political nature of the Games for China.
"I do not think the Chinese state realises how unethical this is, they don't understand what kind of values they are reflecting," he said.
Earlier this year Olympic organisers preoccupied with the right image for the country were criticised for insisting that only tall, slim, young and attractive women could serve as medal award ceremony hostesses.

Liz Taylor hospitalised as rumours fly

AAP
Yahoo7
Elizabeth Taylor has been hospitalised for an undisclosed reason but is expected to return home soon, representatives for the Oscar-winning actress say.

A statement released by Dick Guttman, her Los Angeles-based publicist, did not say where Taylor was staying, nor did it specify what was ailing the 76-year-old actress.

"Ms Taylor is fine," the statement read. "Her hospital visit was precautionary. She will be returning home shortly. At present, she is surrounded by family, friends and fabulous jewels."

Guttman said he had no further details about Taylor's health or whereabouts. A person who answered a call placed to Taylor's home, who would not give her full name, said only that Taylor's condition was "nothing to worry about".

A number of health issues have dogged Taylor through the years, including congestive heart failure in 2004 that, compounded with spinal fractures and the effects of scoliosis, left her nearly bedridden. She has also battled ulcers, amoebic dysentery, bursitis, acute bronchitis, two serious bouts of pneumonia, drug and alcohol addiction and a benign brain tumour that was removed in 1997.

The actress has remained a tireless AIDS activist, making rare public appearances to support the cause. She used a wheelchair and was swathed in jewels at the dedication of the UCLA Clinical AIDS Research and Education Center in November 2005. Her performance of the play Love Letters in December generated more than $US1 million ($A1 million) for AIDS research.

Taylor won Oscars for roles in Butterfield 8 in 1960 and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? in 1966. She also won a special Oscar, the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, mainly for her work as an AIDS activist, in 1993. She still lives in Bel-Air, a tiny section of Los Angeles that is home to many of Hollywood's elite figures.

Her book, Elizabeth Taylor: My Love Affair with Jewelry, was published in 2003. In it, Taylor writes about the many famous jewels in her personal collection, including the 33.19-carat Krupp diamond (a gift from Richard Burton) and the Duchess of Windsor diamond brooch.

Taylor continues to design her namesake jewellery line, available at posh retailers such as Christie's, and is developing a new fragrance.

Olsen denies Heath Ledger drugs

ninemsn

Lawyers for Mary-Kate Olsen say that the actress had nothing to with prescription drugs found near Heath Ledger's body following the Australian star's death from an accidental overdose earlier this year.

A statement from lawyer Michael Miller said former child star Olsen had co-operated with investigators probing the source of drugs involved in the death of Ledger, who died in New York in January.

The statement followed recent tabloid reports that Olsen had demanded immunity from prosecution in exchange for co-operating with investigators.

However, Miller said Olsen, a close friend of Ledger, had no knowledge of drugs consumed by The Dark Knight star or found in his apartment.

"Despite tabloid speculation, Mary-Kate Olsen had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger's home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them," Miller said.

"Regarding the government's investigation, at Ms Olsen's request, we have provided the government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr Ledger's death and the fact that Ms Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr Ledger consumed.

"We don't know the source of the information being quoted in the media regarding the government's inquiry, but these descriptions are incomplete and inaccurate.

The Drug Enforcement Administration is reportedly probing whether Ledger was over-prescribed medicine prior to his death. An autopsy found that the star's death was caused by a lethal cocktail of painkillers and anti-anxiety drugs.

Brangelina baby pictures sell for $US14m

Exclusive pictures of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's newborn twins fetched $US14 million ($A14.88 million), a person involved in the negotiations told The Associated Press, giving People magazine and a British tabloid joint rights to publish the most expensive celebrity pictures ever taken.

The person asked not to be named because he was not authorised to release the figure. People will feature Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon in an issue to hit news stands on Monday, spokeswoman Nancy Valentino said on Friday.

The money - more than double the $US6 million ($A6.38 million) People paid for Jennifer Lopez' twins on a March cover, according to Forbes - will go to a foundation created by Pitt and Jolie that largely focuses on helping children around the world.

The celebrity weekly scored the photos in a joint deal with the London-based Hello! magazine, and the two will split the bill. Particulars of the division were not disclosed.

It's the second time People won the North American rights to the couple's first-look baby pictures, and the third time the couple has worked with the two magazines in exchange for a hefty donation to charity.

"We're thrilled to be able to feature these pictures in People," managing editor Larry Hackett said in a statement.

People plans to unveil the first photo on its web site on Sunday evening.

Even before the babies were born July 12 in Nice, France, the speculation began over which celeb mag would come out on top of an inevitable bidding war. The couple ultimately chose a familiar route in its joint deal between People and London-based Hello! magazine.

Jolie and Pitt sold the US rights to the first shots of their daughter Shiloh, now two years old, in exchange for a reported $US4 million ($A4.25 million) donation. Hello! magazine obtained the British rights.

And last year, the couple sold intimate shots of their son Pax, then three years old, to Hello! and People.

Getty Images, which was involved in the deal for pictures of Shiloh and took those photos, was also involved this time around. In a statement, Getty co-founder and CEO Jonathan Klein said his company was "delighted that all proceeds from these stunning images will once again be donated entirely to charity."

When People the published six photos of Pitt, Jolie and baby Shiloh in June 2006, the issue moved 2.2 million copies, its biggest seller at the time going back to its 4 million-selling 9/11 special, Media Week reported.

Jolie, 33, and Pitt, 44, established their foundation that year. They donated $1 million in June to The Education Partnership for Children of Conflict to help children affected by the war in Iraq . Last year, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation gave more than $US300,000 ($A318,945.35) to support the International Rescue Committee's relief program for Darfur refugees.

"They're the trends that are coming through for next summer."

Kerr closed the show wearing a beaded silver dress by Collette Dinnigan.

Megan Gale was in the front row at catwalk event and she embraced Kerr at the close of the show.

Fifi Box leaves radio for TV

ninemsn

Triple M breakfast radio host Fifi Box will leave the station at the end of the year for the Seven Network's Sunrise program.
Seven said the comedian will join the top rating TV breakfast program in a yet to be announced on-air role after having guest stints on the show.
Box said she was "absolutely thrilled".
"Television is an exciting new challenge for me and the chance to work with (the Sunrise team) Mel, Kochie, Nat and Beretts, who have been wonderful friends to me over the years, was an opportunity I could not resist," she said.
"I'm over the moon - I'm still pinching myself."
Box's radio program The Shebang has plummeted in the ratings this year and is well behind rivals, 2DAY FM's Kyle and Jackie O and Nova 969's Merrick and Rosso and Kate Ritchie show.
Nevertheless, in the latest radio survey released on Tuesday, the Shebang lifted its audience by 0.6 percentage points, to a 5.1 per cent share, to climb above Mix 106.5's Sonia Kruger and Todd McKenney.
Box also appeared on Seven's Dancing With the Stars last year and had regular appearances on Ten's Thank God You're Here.
Seven's director of morning and TV strategic initiatives Adam Boland said on Tuesday that Box was the obvious choice.
"She's down to earth, never afraid to have fun and clearly not scared of early mornings," he said.
"Most of all, she has a dynamite personality which we know Australians love.
"She's already a good mate to all of us Sunrise - so we can't wait for her to start."
A Seven spokesman said that Box's role would be announced soon.
Box's departure meant the end for the Shebang, Austereo Sydney general manager Helen Davies said.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for Fifi and we're so excited for her," Ms Davies said.
"Fifi is incredibly talented and has a broad audience appeal. We knew she would ultimately appear across many mediums nationally.
"But her role with Seven means she can't continue to do breakfast radio - and we just can't see The Shebang without her bright personality."
Box's Shebang co-host of five years Marty Sheargold said he would not continue at Triple M once the show finished.
"When Fi told me she had been offered a job at Sunrise I was really happy for her," he said.
"Unfortunately I knew it would mean the end of The Shebang and I've decided to pursue other opportunities at the end of the year."
Fellow host Paul Murray will continue at the station.
The Shebang radio show has been running since 2003, moving from various time slots.

Country music star Reg Lindsay dies

ninemsn

With a back catalogue of 60 albums and more than 500 songs he composed, musician Reg Lindsay leaves behind a thriving Australian country music industry thanks to his groundbreaking work.

Lindsay died from pneumonia in Newcastle's Belmont Hospital shortly after 3pm (AEST) following a lengthy illness surrounded by his second wife, Roslyn Lindsay, his daughters Dianne, Sandra and Joanne and their families.

His son-in-law Peter Simpson said fans had flooded the family with condolence messages.

"There's been an absolute flood of phone calls and well-wishes. It's absolutely astonishing," he said.

Born at Waverley in Sydney in 1929, Lindsay spent his early years in Parkes and Adelaide.

As a boy he sought out country music across the radio dial and honed his skills with his first guitar, given to him by an aunt at 15.

In 1950 he left for Sydney on a motorbike to make his name in country music on radio station 2SM's Tim McNamara talent quest.

He won the final and in 1951 cashed in his first prize - a recording contract with Rodeo Records.

He shifted to Sydney in the early `50s, playing gigs in between stints in wool sales and as an ABC rural broadcaster before committing to music full-time.

His first country music radio program - the first of a string of platforms he gave to up and coming country stars - aired on Sydney's 2CH in 1952.

Later that year, The Reg Lindsay Show switched to 2SM and stayed there for many years.

In 1954 he married Heather McKean of the popular McKean sisters, and in doing so became the brother-in-law of Slim Dusty. Lindsay and McKean later parted.

He began hosting The Country and Western Hour on Channel Nine in Adelaide in 1964.

The program went national soon after and ran on Nine for eight years. Reg Lindsay's Country Homestead aired for another four years. The programs earned Lindsay four Logies.

In 1968, Lindsay tried his hand in the giant US music market and became one of the first Australians to be invited to perform on the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, the home of country music.

His best-known hit, Armstrong, inspired by astronaut Neil Armstrong's walk on the moon in 1969, is part of a time capsule at NASA's space centre in Houston.

After almost 20 years travelling between the US and Australia, he returned home in 1986 and two years later met his current wife, Roslyn.

Lindsay won three Golden Guitars at the Tamworth Country Music awards in 1974, 1978 and 1980, and was inducted into the Tamworth Roll of Renown in 1984 and the Hands of Fame three years later.

He was awarded an OAM in 1989 for services to country music and the entertainment industry.

He suffered a brain haemorrhage at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 1995 and a heart attack the following year, and spent his remaining years in and out of hospitals.

Britney's Dad to Remain in Control for Rest of the Year

Jamie Spears, 56, was named temporary conservator of her affairs on Feb. 1 following his 26-year-old daughter's two forced hospitalizations in January. The conservatorship has been extended until the end of the year, but a progress review of the case has been set for Oct. 28.

"The extension of the conservatorship was at the request and suggestion of Britney's doctors," says a source close to the singer. "They've indicated she's made great improvement, but it's a work in progress. Jamie Spears doesn't want the conservatorship to last a day longer than the doctors recommend."

Jamie has sole authority over whom his daughter has contact with, and has hired security guards to watch her 24 hours a day. He shares control with another lawyer over her multimillion-dollar estate.

Earlier Thursday, Spears's court-appointed attorney, Samuel D. Ingham III, told the Associated Press that he wouldn't seek to extend the restraining order against the singer's one-time pal Sam Lufti, because Spears has cut all ties with Lufti anyway.

Ingham also said that the restraining order is no longer necessary because Jamie can legally control whom his daughter sees: "During the temporary conservatorship, the conservators have the power to insure that Lufti will not harm Britney anymore."

Angelina Jolie: The next Catwoman?

ninemsn
CelebrityFIX

In what would probably be the best casting decision of 2008, Angelina Jolie has apparently asked to play Catwoman in the next Batman flick!
The foxy new mum would look ridiculously good in tight PVC - and original Catwoman Julie Newmar said Jolie would be awesome in the role, if Batman director Christopher Nolan was into reviving the character in a future sequel. As if he wouldn't be! Angelina slinking about a movie set in a black bodysuit? Tough job.
Julie told the New York Daily News that "Angelina would own the part. My industry friends tell me (she) has made inquiries about the role. I can understand how it would pique her interest.
"Catwoman is Batman's one true love. She's tremendously popular with women because she's both a heroine and a villainess."
And with a history of women like Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry having played her in the past - she's popular with men, too!
